Women's League Information

Registration now open!

The GULL is a competitive men's and women's summer league for high school grads (including graduating seniors), current college players, and college grads. All skill levels are welcome to play in the GULL. This league is a great way for players to stay in shape throughout the summer, have fun, stay active and prepare for college level lacrosse. Year after year, hundreds of college programs are represented in the league from all divisions.


GENERAL

  • The league starts the week of June 20th. Playoff/championship games will be played the week of August 1st.
  • Games are typically played on Monday or Wednesday nights. Game days/location may change due to holidays or field conflicts. Games will be played at Webster Schroeder High School (turf) and Thornell Farm Park, Pittsford (turf).
  • All players must be graduated high school to participate (includes graduating seniors).
  • Team rosters must have at least 20 players.

Due to the high level of interest, we encourage early registration for your team. We have a limited number of team spots available.


    HOW TO SIGN UP?

    TEAM REGISTRATION

    A. To register a team, captains must complete the "Women's Team Registration and Roster" form on the registrations page. After we receive your registration and performance bond, we will open registration for your teammates.

    B. Send $100.00 CHECK, payable to the "Great Upstate Lacrosse League" for the Performance Bond must be mailed to PO Box 603, Webster, NY 14580 prior to player registration to open for your team. Note: this check will not be cashed unless there has been a forfeit or fine. See below for more information.


    PLAYER REGISTRATION

    Following the registration of your team, by your team captain, each individual team player is required to register under the "Women's Player Registration" form on the registrations page. You will need to select your team name in order to register.

    PLAYER REGISTRATION WILL NOT OPEN FOR YOUR TEAM UNTIL WE RECEIVE YOUR CAPTAIN'S TEAM REGISTRATION AND PERFORMANCE BOND.


    FREE AGENT REGISTRATION

    If you do not have a team, but would like to play this summer, please register under the "Women's Free Agent Registration" form on the registrations page. If an existing team roster players, we will pull from the free agent registrations. In addition, if we receive enough free agent requests we will create an "at large team".


    COST

    Registration Fee: $155.00

    Fee includes a league issued jersey.


    IMPORTANT REMINDERS

    A. TOP FOUR 4 TEAMS MAKE THE PLAYOFFS! Rankings will be determined by the following criteria. 1) Best Overall Record 2) Head to Head 3) Goals Against 4) Goals Scored

    B. If for any reason, a player does not have their league issued jersey, they should ask an employee at the scores table for a league issued pinny to wear for the game. The pinny should be return upon completion of the game. Player will get charged for the pinny if it is not returned. Teams are not issued extra jerseys.

    C. If you do not attend your first game, your jersey will be held at the scores table.

    D. Your jersey size and number are not guaranteed if you do not register by May 15th.

    E. GULL communication will be through the Remind app (light blue square with white cloud), to receive notifications and text messages with updated/urgent alerts from league directors.


    THE PERFORMANCE BOND

    The bond will serve as two functions

    1. Secures your team's spot in the league.

    2. Help ensures you will play your full regular season game schedule.

      Captains are required to submit a performance bond upon the competition of the team registration form in order for you team members to begin registration. To submit your team's performance bond, a check should be made out to the"Great Upstate Lacrosse League" with your "Team Name" in the MEMO line.

      Please mail to PO Box 603, Webster, NY 14580. The check will be returned to the team captain (or shredded) upon completion of the season, if your team does not forfeit any games.
